Mega Events

During the last decades, Mega Events as international conferences, festivals, and especially world sport competitions have assumed major political, symbolic, social, economic and multi media attention. Mega Events bacame potential targets to the most prominent security threats, from spectator violence to terrorism through large crowed management and safety.

Since the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, ISDS has maintained a unique proven track record in planning, training, managing and integrating technologies for security major Mega Events. The most exciting moments were when ISDS was chosen to provide security for the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 and later was chosen to be the Official Sponsor and Supplier for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016. ISDS provided to the Olympic Committees security consulting services including risk assessments, technologies consulting, and technological implementations with more than 40 different technologies installed in the head quarter of the Olympic Games, Olympic Park and at the Olympic Villa. Since 2006, ISDS was the security advisor for the 20th Maccabiah Games 2017 (The third biggest sport event in the world), EuroBasket 2017, European Judo Championship 2018, Giro d’Italia 2018, DFL security consulting, Judo Grand Prix TLV 2019, Atletico de Madrid visit to Israel in 2019 and the European Basketball Championship U20 2019. ISDS’s vast experience will be shared in the next Olympic & Paralympic Games – Tokyo 2021

The latest addition to the extensive practical experience and the in-depth know-how in this field was the developed of a refined ISDS’s realistic multidimensional threat assessment and risk analysis that produces actionable risk management policies and effective security planning and management. ISDS developed and deployed its customizable “Threat to Risk to Mission to Deployment Matrix structured methodology”, synthesizing all applicable factors into a pragmatic security program and forces deployment including all-inclusive security services for Mega Events, accreditation, crowd management and control, security search and access screening, surveillance, training and command and control centers.
